I started painting this biggy at the beginning of May which aligns with Mother's Day. I got to do a lot of reflecting during the painting process of this one. Being a mum is such a tough gig and will forever be the hardest job and life lesson I will ever have. I am grateful everyday that I get to experience motherhood in the way that I have. Every time I think about going back to work just so I can buy 'that bigger house' or 'that bigger car' or live 'that larger than life lifestyle', my two little monsters would do something so adorable that would bring me back to my 'why'. Why I am a full time mummy and why I am an artist. I really enjoyed working on this one and experimenting with a lighter, softer colour pallet.
