Head and Heart - When I initially started this piece I imagined I would paint a green beauty. That was the plan. The base layer of this painting is filled with greens in all my favourite shade. Underneath it is expressive but something didn't sit right... For a long time I have been wanting to do another patch work piece, especially on board as the matte effect of acrylic is my favourite on board. Sometimes you have to let go of your inner thoughts and do what the heart would do.
Canvas - Acrylic on ply board, framed in oak. 150cm x 120cm, (153cm x123cm) framed.
Original Artwork painted on a handmade canvas by a local framer in Adelaide - South Australia. Floated in a hand made Tasmanian Oak frame. Acrylic paint. Signature on front and back. Wire on back. Can be landscape or portrait.
