It’s no secret that I love a good hike. A lot of my recent pieces in this particular colour way are inspired by the landscapes on my recent hikes. The top half of the artwork feels like the sky opened up and I call this piece “stepping through” partly because it was a journey to get to this painting. I initially painted different colours and the flow was completely different but it didn’t feel right. It took a few more layers and now I’m in love. This one also feels like a secret nod to the universe for looking out for me and my health journey this year.
